The turkey is marinated, seasoned with Cajun spices and fully cooked, then frozen. Popeyes' steps:
- Thaw it in its sealed bag in the fridge for 72 hours. Never on the counter. Heat and eat within 3 days of thawing
- Preheat the oven to 375°F
- Unwrap the turkey, save the juices, and set it on a rack in a roasting pan. Pour the juices into the pan
- Cover tightly with foil and heat on the lower rack for 1½ hours
- Uncover and heat 30 more minutes, until the thickest part of the breast reads 140°F
- Rest 20 minutes, then carve
